United Way
The management and employees of Con Cast Pipe have always had a strong sense of community and embrace diversity. Since 2003, both corporate and individual donations through an annual United Way campaign have raised over $58,000. These funds have been distributed to the local Centraides of Guelph-Wellington, Kitchener-Waterloo, Brant, and Cambridge-North Dumfries.

In 2006, Con Cast Pipe, Ontario Concrete Products and Sky Cast Inc. jointly raised over $19,000. From this effort, we achieved a Silver Participation Award.

Brantford Classic Run
Con Cast Pipe employees and their families have traditionally made their presence known at this annual event in Brantford, featuring 10 km, 5 km runs and 3 mile walk. We’re proud to lend our support to Special Needs Children, the Lansdowne Children’s Centre and the Brantford Boys & Girls Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Brantford.

Con Cast Pipe / Sky Cast Educational Scholarship
In honour of our wonderful ‘Pipers of the Past’, our Management Team made the decision to offer an educational scholarship to a spouse or dependant of a current employee of Con Cast Pipe or Sky Cast Inc. All eligible nominees must be enrolled in a post-secondary educational program, and is awarded to an individual based on academic excellence, personality, initiative, and community involvement.

The successful recipient for the 2006 Scholarship was Luis Rodriguez who has completed his studies at the University of Waterloo and hopes to enter Teachers College.
