A: While there is no certain service life expectancy for precast concrete structures, typically, they can last up to 100+ years, functioning under proper conditions.

A: Concast’s three-sided box culverts are known as Tri-Span and CON/SPAN. Essentially, they are the same as traditional box culverts without a bottom slab. They are meant to minimize the impact on the streambed or waterway beneath it. They have a flat-top (Tri-Span) or curved top (CON/SPAN) design and are a cost-effective alternative to full bridge construction.  Tri-Span precast boxes are used to accommodate the natural channels of streams at road crossings. A: Yes, virtually all our precast products can be customized. Our in-house engineers and designers can custom design products based on your specifications, including the addition of bends, weir walls, baffles, radii and skews, tees, wyes, incorporating various fittings and accessories, and much more. Our team of experts will work with you from start to finish to create a solution for your project.

A: Concast’s precast products are manufactured in a controlled environment in adherence to strict industry standards. Once manufactured, they are installed very quickly at the jobsite due to ease of installation. Cast-in-place products are vulnerable to the elements and frequently require more labour in the field, making them less cost-effective compared to precast.

A: Concast’s precast products are manufactured in controlled facilities and have and extensive lifecycle. They are made from natural resources, reduce contaminants from soil and waterways, and are resistant to all weather conditions.

A: Precast products are manufactured with optimal design using reusable forms and molds. They can be installed very quickly, due to ease of placement and installation, reducing time and money in the field.
